" So to manage the burn of the paper, we need to have an intensity which is really uniform and only in the area where we want to expose with the beam," said Aurèle Adam, TU Delft Professors, Assistant Professor. The Assistant Teacher, a physicist at the Delft University of Innovation, explained that the print dot blackness intensity could be managed by altering the pulse period of your laser.

"The laser is radiating pulses, these pulses can be extended in time, and we can brighten for a long time and not make the system cool off before it switches the signal.  If you adjust this accordingly and do a lot of 'experimentation,' you can obtain a different type of black and therefore acquire the color you want to have at the end."

The lab tests have validated that dyeless innovation satisfies the needed specifications of black and white printing.
